The morning after the wedding my sisters joined us for breakfast at the St. Francis Inn before they left for the airport. I wished that they could've spent the day recuperating from the exhausting past three days by spending the day at the beach with us. I sure hated to see them go.
We joined our NC friends, Dorothy and Marshall, Lucy, Carrie & Andrew, and Ginna & Jeff at their hotel's pool. Lloyd and Susan soon joined us, too. It was so nice to sit by the water and relax and visit. We all enjoyed some of the left overs from the reception for our lunch poolside! Thanks Dorothy for organizing the meal! I was done with organizing anything!
We all went down to the beach for more R & R and some friendly rounds of Bocce Ball.
The day went by way too fast, but how wonderful it was!
That evening we had dinner with Dorothy and Marshall and Steve's aunt and uncle, Pat & Jim, from TN while the younger crowd all went out to dinner together.
Following dinner we had a lovely horse and carriage ride though part of historical St. Augustine.
We ended the night with yet another delicious Hyppo popsicle as we walked back to the inn, reconnecting with our kids along the way. The Clements had an early departure time the next morning so we said our good-byes, but oh, how we hated to see them go!
The next morning we had one last breakfast with Pat and Jim who had stayed at the St. Francis Inn since the wedding festivities began. Before this trip we had not seen them since Allison & Brian's wedding which was almost four years ago. It was the best visit we have had with them in many many years. We hope it's not another four years before we see them again!
So thankful for all of our dear family and friends who joined us for this celebration!
Good-bye St. Augustine!
